Get Updates

Updates to all of your purchased Commercial Unlimited Licenses are available for Download in your Store Account:

Please be aware that any download package of our Extensions contains the installation packages for different Joomla releases:

  • The Header Image package contains both versions for Joomla 1.0.x and 1.5.x.
  • The Timer Ruler package contains both versions for Joomla 1.0.x and 1.5.x.
  • The MooBot package contains both versions for Joomla 1.0.x and 1.5.x.
  • The Header-Footer package contains both versions for Joomla 1.0.x and 1.5.x.
  • The Web-Call-Back Commercial Unlimited package contains both versions for Joomla 1.0.x and 1.5.x.
  • So prior to the installation from the Joomla Administrator, that downloaded package requires to get extracted into a folder on your local computer.
  • When unpacked on your local computer, there will be two folders, each containing the installation package for Joomla 1.0.x and 1.5.x.
  • Install the Joomla version specific from the respective subfolder of the unpacked download file as per the process with any other Joomla module.

When receiving a Unrecoverable error “PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10)” error while installing the Joomla package for the correct version, that may have the following reasons:

  • You are trying to install directly from the download package. Unpack the download package as described above and install the installation package inside suited to your Joomla version.
  • In case the installation package is a ZIP file, than the ZIP libraries on your server my be incompatible with this type of ZIP file. Repack that installation package on your local computer by unpacking and repacking it as ZIP or TAR.GZ file. Install the repacked installation package then.

When receiving a ERROR: Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package message on a Joomla 1.5 version, that may have the following reasons:

  • You are using a SVN version of Joomla, which is a development version and unsupported by Header Image due to constant code base changes on Joomla. Use a official Joomla release. Some Joomla versions show difficulties in installing extensions and that is caused by Joomla itself, or your server environment, or your file and directory privileges on the server, and has nothing to do with our extension.
  • Your server has a incorrcet or missing ZIP or TAR.GZ implementation. Unpack the installation package on your local computer, upload its contents into a temporary directory of your Joomla installation and use the Install from Directory option to install directly from that temporary directory.
  • Your download my be corrupted, redownload the package from our site and continue with one of the above.

In general, when receiving error messages while uploading and installing one of the Installation Packages:

  • This may get caused by some type of incompatibility in your servers ZIP or TAR.GZ implementation. During our continous testing we also observed that some Joomla! installations or releases do create difficulties while unpacking installation files of extensions.
  • When having such a case, do unpack the installation package on your local machine.
  • Copy the installation files onto a directory on your server, preferably the MEDIA directory of your Joomla! installation.
  • Use the Install from Directory option to install directly from that temporary directory.

When your site template stops loading at the module position of one of our extensions, than this is related to insufficient memory resources configured on your Server for the PHP Scripting Engine. The current resource limits defined for PHP are too tight to support your Joomla installation with your current set of extensions loaded, therefore the PHP Scripting Engine stops processing the current script due to insufficient memory resources.

Joomla requires some amount of memory for its execution, and we see that some server systems are configured with minimum memory available for PHP scripts. That leads to blank pages as the PHP script will stop to be processed once the memory limit is reached. That has nothing to do with our extension, it results out of the memory requirements of Joomla including all installed extensions and a too low memory limit set on your server.

If your server is in a shared hosting environment, and outside of your accessability to change the PHP settings, please contact your Technical Support of your hosting provider asking how to perform custom settings for the PHP execution. Is your server a dedicated system, and the PHP.INI file is accessible to you then increase the memory limit for PHP.

When having access to your Servers PHP.INI, then the following settings may help:

PHP.INI

;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
; Resource Limits ;
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

max_execution_time = 120 ; Maximum execution time of each script, in seconds
max_input_time = 60 ; Maximum amount of time each script may spend parsing request data
memory_limit = 32M      ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume

The current or default setting for memory_limit may be too less to support the processing of your current Joomla environment. We suggest to allow at least 32M of memory for script execution, or increase it to 64M.

Be aware that the Joomla Framework itself is already quite a complex set of scripts consuming memory, and that every extension added will increase the available memory for PHP in order to properly process the software.

Also check your PHP Error Log for error messages that might prevent full execution of the extension or your Joomla site. All our extensions are thoroughly tested, however errors might occur on individual basis on different systems.

So when doing an cross upgrade from one type of license to the other one, it is highly recommended to first remove the extension affected from your Joomla installation. Please follow these steps when doing a cross upgrade from ANY of our Creative Commons License to a Commercial Unlimited License:

  • Purchase and download the Commercial Unlimited License of your selected extension at http://technology.pillwax.com
  • Make a print or screenshot of the Settings of your current licenses installation, these you will need later to re-establish your current extension settings
  • Uninstall the Creative Commons License
  • Install the Commercial Unlimited License taking consideration of the above Installation Notes
  • Use your settings record to re-establish the extensions settings for the now upgraded extension
